Humanitarian efforts aren’t doing enough to evacuate Ukrainians with disabilities

Fight For Right advocacy team had spent some time reading and analysing the Report to outline what developments are recognised by EU, and what areas to be further developed and what kind of homeworks lays ahead Ukraine candidacy negotiations.

From July 14–18, Brussels hosted the first International LEADERKA School of Political Participation for girls and women with disabilities, which was organized by Fight For Right in partnership with the European Network on Independent Living (ENIL).

Currently, Ukraine claims to pursue two major goals: recovery and EU membership. Both of these processes should be supported by the abolition of institutional care system (namely deinstitutionalization – DI).

The non-governmental organization Fight For Right has joined the Ukraine 5 AM Coalition and together with other organizations will document war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the russian armed aggression.
