Paintings “JUST DRAWINGS”
In January, 2025, seven young women with psychosocial and intellectual disabilities, students of the “Stavnykovych art studio”, for the first time presented their art works at the exhibition ‘Just Drawings’ in Lviv, Ukraine.
Each painting is about emotions, dreams, and experiences. They are simple answers to truly profound questions: ‘How are you?’, ‘What’s your mood?’, ‘What inspires you?’ These works offer a chance to experience the artist’s inner world, which is often unnoticed.
Your contributions will support the career development of young artists and inspire them to create more. The costs will help to buy canvas, paints, and frames to continue the art path, continue classes at the studio. The exhibition was organised NGO “Maysternia mriyi” from Fight For Right under the project “Leadership of Women with Disabilities in Communities,” which is implemented by the NGO Fight For Right with the technical support of the UN Women in Ukraine and with the funding of the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). However, this does not mean that the views and content expressed during the workshops (trainings, conferences) are officially approved or recognized by the United Nations. The United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) is a flexible and responsive funding tool that supports quality interventions to increase local women’s capacity to prevent conflict, respond to crises and emergencies, and seize key peacebuilding opportunities.
